Crazy Wind of Change. (Song lyric).

sandstorm-sahara-desert

It was past three o’clock on a summer afternoon
The road was blistered, my sweat ran sleek.
I could smell a force 10 was coming soon,
silence hung heavy and it cut real deep.
Air so dry, it cut my throat to speak
so I just wet my face in what was left of the creek,
turned into her breath as I heard her scream
would I survive a mother wind that blew so mean?

The storm raged made me close my eyes,
changed the landscape and changed me inside.
Sandgrains bit as they pierced my skin,
I couldn’t stop the crazy wind blowin’.

If death meant you just left the stage
long enough for a costume change;
then you could return in a brand new part
would you be slowin’ down now or are you pushing it hard?
Ahead are fields of opportunity ,
behind are the wasted deals that pass for a life.
Take a first step with uncertainty
against the wind but with all your might.

Storm blew in and it blew in hard,
it was over in an hour but it felt like a week.
Thought the damn thing was gonna tear me apart
but I was stronger when it died than I’d been at my peak.
My road to redemption is suddenly clear,
distant horizons seem so much nearer,
the man I was, brought me here;
a changed man’s taking me to new frontiers.

The storm raged made me close my eyes,
changed the landscape and changed me inside.
Sandgrains bit as they pierced my skin.
I couldn’t stop the crazy wind blowin’.
