When I first looked up and out
‘Twas enough to make me shout
In wonder and surprise
At what I saw thru the water in my eyes.
A Leviathan on things
Which moved without gill, tail or strings.
A face, looking clueless into my home
All nosey while he moseys.
What is the stuff above the eyes
That waves like the crowfoot that lies
on the water’s bed?
What is it? That tosses waste into my home.
That has polluted me and all my like.
Who pulled my brothers and sisters away on a line with a spike.
What is it that invades and destroys
and looks on me with such arrogant poise?
What is it? Why is it?
